Sahil and Ashlee first met in September 2019. Over two wild mushroom scrambles on a chilly fall morning, they discovered their shared love of architecture, philosophy and cooking.

After a year and a half, Sahil had a great idea—what better way to test the strength of their relationship than buying a house together. After seven unsuccessful house offers, they finally bought a house and embarked on a project to completely renovate their new home. Lucky for them, they chose to do this during the best possible time, at the onset of COVID. An endless series of supply shortages and unreliable contractors forced them to get their hands dirty and take on the construction themselves.

After two years spent entirely at Home Depot, Sahil had another great idea—since the house remodel was going so well, why not also get married? In February 2023, Sahil proposed at High West Distillery.
